Meet the Team; Chris (Manager)

Chris joined us here at The Empty Space Theatre in April 2022. Since then he has been going from strength to strength. As the theatre started to grow we need an extra pair of hands. Chris has certainly done that.

Here at the Empty Space Theatre Chris is in charge of managing our theatre hire bookings. This includes showing everyone around the theatre and talking them through any requirements. It sounds straightforward, but it certainly isn't! When someone hires the theatre they are putting their heart and soul into the show, it's their baby! So Chris is always there to help them with any challenges, or to support them in any way that he can.

Alongside managing the theatre hires. Chris is also in charge of all of our social media and is our number one SEO guru. So when you see all of the fantastic videos and photos across our social media. He is the one that has put them all together!

Alongside working at The Empty Space Theatre Chris works as an acting teacher. He's passionate about teaching both adults and kids. It's work that he loves doing and finds really rewarding.

Of course, there are a few more strings to his bow. He trained in Musical Theatre and Drama Performance at the University of Cumbria. He has been an actor himself for a decade now, working on everything from feature films to commercials. He's even picked up an award or two on the way! We recently went to support him in a production of Danny Echo!

He is also a writer and director, creating his own short films and music videos. He recently directed a short film which was commissioned by Channel 4!

We couldn't be happier to have Chris working with us here at The Empty Space. We also get glowing reviews from everyone who hires our theatre about the great work that Chris does!
