MANCHESTER THEATRE HIRE OUT AT SEA

OUT AT SEA

Monday 15th July: 7pm

"Out at Sea" is a darkly comic tale of hunger and democracy. It is a captivating theatre show that tells the story of three hungry men adrift at sea on a raft. Created by Polish absurdist playwright Slawomir Mrozek, this darkly comic production delves into the depths of human nature and the power dynamics that emerge in desperate situations.

As the men manipulate and trick each other in a desperate quest for food, their survival becomes increasingly uncertain. In a surprising twist, they turn to democracy to determine who among them will become the next meal. This thought-provoking exploration of hunger and power is brought to life through the rich theatrical elements and unconventional scenography employed by director Ingmars Čaklais, a Latvian stage director known for his international experience working with amateur theatres.

Presented by the Birmingham Little Theatre, "Out at Sea" offers a unique theatrical experience with its production language in Latvian (simultaneous translation in English available for each show).

Tickets £15 / £10
